2020 International Consensus on First Aid Science With Treatment Recommendations

26/10/20

Last week, ILCOR published its 2020 International Consensus on First Aid Science With Treatment Recommendations in Circulation and Resuscitation. The results of three systematic reviews performed by CEBaP, in collaboration with the ILCOR First Aid Task Force, were included in these publications: Methods of Glucose Administration for Mild Hypoglycemia, Storage of an avulsed tooth prior to replantation, and Compression wrapping for acute closed extremity joint injuries. One of CEBaP’s researchers is an active member of the First Aid Task Force and we are proud to contribute to the development and dissemination of evidence-based first aid guidance. The evidence of these and other first aid systematic reviews developed by ILCOR, will be used to support the upcoming update of the Belgian Red Cross’ first aid guidelines and the international first aid guidelines of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
