The mission of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) is to promote, disseminate and advocate the international implementation of evidence-informed resuscitation and first aid recommendations, using transparent evaluation and consensus summary of scientific data. To do so, ILCOR relies on rigorous and continuous reviews of scientific literature performed by the members of 6 Task Forces.
From 28-30 September 2026, ILCOR hosted its annual face-to-face meeting in Delhi, India. CEBaP researcher Jorien Laermans attended the meeting as a member of the First Aid Task Force.
The Task Force discussed systematic and scoping reviews, alongside evidence updates for the 2027 Consensus on Science with Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR) that will further inform first aid guidelines around the world.
In the plenary sessions, discussions were held around research gaps identified through ILCOR’s work, opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence into evidence evaluation, and strategies for ensuring scientific integrity in today's rapidly evolving research environment.
