Remote and hazardous: first aid adaptation in challenging places

During the latest conference of the European Resuscitation Council past June, the Global First Aid Reference Centre (GFARC) of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) hosted a live webinar titled “Remote and hazardous: first aid adaptation in challenging contexts”.

During this webinar, CEBaP discussed the importance of context-specific guidelines and the use of adapted teaching materials to provide first aid education in the sub-Saharan African context. GFARC also discussed how the IFRC 2020 evidence-based International First Aid, Resuscitation, and Education guidelines need contextualization in disaster, remote and conflict settings, and some common education principles for first aid were being formulated.
